I’ll never forget where I came from.
I was born in Waterville and as a kid my mom moved us around a lot while always trying to make ends meet. We lived in Winslow, with no running water, in Waterville on public assistance, as well as Oakland and Fairfield. During my childhood I attended no less then 10 separate schools. The struggles as a child have helped define my work ethic and molded me into who I am today. A few weeks after graduating from Lawrence High School in 1988, I left for the Navy.
During my time in Naval Aviation, I was deployed to Operation Desert Storm, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom as well as multi-national exercises in Oman and Qatar to name a few. I have been awarded 48 major awards and decorations, including Two Navy Meritorious Service Medals, Five Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals, and Five Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals.
While on Active Duty I completed my Bachelor of science degree in Professional Aeronautics as well as my Masters Degree in Business Administration and Managment.
Having been deployed overseas 9 times and after 30+ years of honorable and decorated service, I chose to step away from a promotion, along with other career opportunities, in order to return to my roots in Maine.
As a resident of Fairfield my entire adult life, I am proud of my heritage and most importantly proud to call it home. As an outdoor enthusiast, I find it important to support and be involved in local and community Clubs. I am an active member of the Central Maine ATV Club where I have been an elected officer for the past 5 years.
