As a Candidate and a Resident, I am committed to supporting Fairfield’s first responders—our police officers, firefighters, EMTs, and other emergency personnel. These dedicated individuals are the backbone of our community’s safety, working tirelessly to protect us day on a daily basis.
- Investing in Resources and Training:
I believe providing our first responders with the resources, training, and equipment they need to perform their duties effectively and safely is essential. This includes ensuring they have access to the latest technology and tools, as well as ongoing professional development opportunities to stay prepared for any situation.
- Enhancing Mental Health Support:
First responders face immense stress and challenges in their line of work. I will always be an advocate for mental health support services for our first responders, recognizing the importance of their well-being in maintaining a strong, resilient response force.
- Strengthening Community Relationships:
Building strong relationships between our first responders and the community is vital. They have been nothing short of outstanding in ensuring trust, communication, and collaboration and we must ensure they have the opportunities to continue what they are doing for our community!
- Ensuring Competitive Compensation:
Our first responders deserve fair and competitive compensation for the critical work they do. I will support efforts to ensure that Fairfield remains a place where these professionals are valued and adequately compensated, helping to attract and retain the best talent in our emergency services.
Supporting our first responders is about more than just recognizing their efforts; it’s about ensuring they have what they need to keep our community safe. I am committed to this as part of my work on the town council.
