Rein In Spending
When some people hear the term “rein in spending” they may think of budget cuts. This is not what I mean!
While serving our country I held multiple positions where fiscal accountability was requisite to daily routine. I managed many different budgets including a 40.2-million-dollar government contract and am proud to say our team was able to create a model site across the Department of Defense. It was all about efficiency and how well we utilized our resources. Being both effective and efficient with our money resulted in performance metrics that exceeded expectations. We met goals while maximizing our Return-On-Investment. I will bring that exact same mindset to Fairfield.
It’s important for our budget to be well managed and supportable without incurring high tax increases. There must be accountability at all levels as to what we, the taxpayers are getting for our money. A well-managed budget is a direct result of fiscal accountability, and when we can get more efficiency, we will be able to lower taxes.
